OC: Tim

This is probably a good time to introduce the leads of An Introduction to the Fine Art of Monster Slaying. Let's start with Tim.

Tim is a certified monster slayer who trained with the very best at the Order's secret headquarters in Romania. He was the first of his class to graduate not because he was stronger and faster (though he was) but because of his unshakable dedication to his duty. In fact, Tim wanted to be a monster slayer so much that he didn't let the fact that he becomes adorably fluffy every full moon stop him.

Thanks to spending more than a decade doing nothing but training and going on the occasional mission with his mentor, Ben, Tim became a skilled fighter capable of killing someone with a moderately sharp pencil. He also knows everything about supernatural creatures. What he doesn't know about? Pop culture. This became a problem in his very first solo mission (Lesson One: Vampires), but Tim doesn't give up easily. In addition to his dedication to the duties of a monster slayer, he's an optimist who always tries to see the bright side of every situation, no matter how dire.

However, the mad Dr West, whom Tim fought alongside his former mentor, swore revenge after they thwarted his evil plans and has been plotting against Tim ever since. He was the one who told the Elders about Tim's secret, which got him banished from the Order in a rather violent way, but he still wants more, so that's likely not the last time Dr West will try to go after him. Being banished hasn't stopped Tim from engaging in some good old-fashioned monster slaying, though.

On his way out of the Order's secret headquarters, he found H P Lovecraft, who's been reduced to a brain in a steel box. Together they travelled to London where Tim faced a revived Egyptian mummy and learned of Bob's nefarious plans for Humankind (Mummy Issues). It was also then that he found out that the Elders had sent Ben to hunt him. At first, Tim wanted to reach out to him, convinced that his former mentor would believe him, but fortunately, he decided to be more cautious. His caution saved his life, as despite Tim having helped save his daughter, Nikki (Tim's Winter Adventure), Ben proved more than willing to kill his former apprentice.
